Administrative Assistant in Interior Design firm

We are working with a leading design firm in the heart of River North that is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to the office leaders along with general office coordination. While occasional evening event support may be required, this is a Monday-Friday in-office role, offering stability with minimal overtime. HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:30-5pm (they do offer summer hours). • Build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors • Assist the Chief of Staff and Owner with various projects • Travel out of state for installations a few times per year (short trips) • Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations including ordering supplies, vendor support, kitchen stocked • Set up for in-house events & meetings – will function as a jack of all trades • Bachelor’s degree preferred • 2+ years of experience working in office operations • Passion for interior design or the arts • Ability to move at a fast-paced design environment with various personalities and be very detail oriented and organized • Ability to not be overwhelmed or take things personally in a high stress environment working with creative professionals • Proficient with Microsoft Office • Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30pm – being punctual is key for this position as you will often open the office
