INTERIOR DESIGNERTLCD Architecture is seeking a skilled and motivated Interior Designer with 5-10 years of experience and a strong interest in healthcare design. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, design-focused firm where you’ll contribute to meaningful projects and grow professionally.You’ll work closely with project teams, including architects, interior designers, and firm leadership, across all project phases—from concept through construction. Our ideal candidate brings a thoughtful design approach, commercial project experience, and the ability to manage responsibilities with independence and initiative.ABOUT THE ROLECollaborate with architects, interior designers, and principals to develop design concepts and project documentationContribute to the design and documentation of healthcare and other projectsDevelop program documentation, space planning, FF&E specification, material selection and documentationCoordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to integrate design with building systemsHelp resolve technical and design-related issues in collaboration with project teamsPresent design concepts, materials and layouts to project team and clients through verbal communication, electronic and hand drawing, mood boards and material samplesDevelop furniture selections, specifications and budgetsSupport and mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team cultureParticipate in the construction administration of projects, review of submittals and RFIsContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsWork with regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesAbility to apply accessibility codes, applicable building codes, and life-safety codes to a wide variety of project scopes and complexityCompensation for this role (5-10 years of experience) is estimated to be between $70,000-$90,000 plus benefits, depending on relevant experienceABOUT YOUBachelor’s or Master’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, or a related field5-10 years of professional interior design experience for commercial architecture projectsStrong space planning, detailing, and documentation skillsStrong presentation skills and ability to facilitate design with clients or to participate in client interviewsProficiency in industry-standard software: Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of Enscape or Twin-Motion is a plusExcellent graphic and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlinesCollaborative team player with a proactive and professional attitudeInterest in sustainable design and knowledge of current materials and codes preferredNCIDQ or CID accreditation preferredLEED and WELL Certifications a plusWHYTLCD ARCHITECTURETLCD Architecture is the leading architecture and interior design firm in the North Bay with 60 years of experience modeled by our design excellence, diversity of work, and community enrichment.
