Unit layout, building efficiency, and constructability are central to our work. You will work closely with firm leadership and contribute meaningfully to projects from early feasibility through construction. We also frequently partner with larger design firms that serve as the AoR on our projects so you'll have the opportunity to network, coordinate with, and learn from a wide spectrum of architects in the Providence/ Boston market as well. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine multifamily unit layouts with a focus on efficiency, marketabilityBuild and manage detailed 3D Revit models using real construction assemblies within the model for realistic takeoffs and preliminary pricing purposesIterate quickly on layout revisions as project constraints evolve and financial models inform new decisionsProduce parking layouts and site studiesReview and redline plan sets from 3rd party external AoR architects to ensure all plans comport to our Company's standards and preferences.Coordinate closely with in-house construction team on pre-construction items such as preliminary cost assessments, constructability reviews, MEP strategies, and project delivery strategiesLead small residential projects in full (e.g., single family &, small multifamily) from design through construction administrationQualificationsRequired5+ years of professional architectural experienceStrong multifamily project experienceUpscale single family experienceAdvanced proficiency in RevitStrong space planning skillsPortfolio of residential spaces, both single family and multifamily designsBachelor or Master of Architecture from NAAB accredited programLicensure to practice architecture requiredIdeal CandidatePragmatic and solutions-orientedComfortable working in a highly iterative design processLow ego, collaborative, and open to frequent feedback and directionStrong technical Revit modeler and detail-orientedInterested in how development, architecture, and construction come togetherUnderstands that real-world project constraints drive design decisionsWilling to learn new development-centric constraints and how they play out as design decisionsCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $80,000+ (commensurate with experience)
