Architectural Designer

Responsibilities include programming, project planning, design, preparation of construction documents and specifications, cost and schedule coordination, code compliance, consultant management, construction administration, and project closeout. A firm commitment to the mission of BYUAssociate's degree in Architectural Technology, Design/Drafting, or a closely related field.Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in an architectural office or institutional facilities planning environment.Five (5) years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.Technical Knowledge:Expert proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.Thorough knowledge of architectural drafting and BIM standards.Thorough understanding of construction specifications and specification software.Thorough knowledge of current International Building Code and related building, fire, accessibility, and life safety codes.Thorough understanding of the ADA Standards for Accessible Design and the adopted edition of ICC A117.1.Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, audiovisual, communications, and site systems.Comprehensive knowledge of commercial building materials, construction methods, and detailing.
