Architectural Interior Designer

PLATT, a full-service architecture, construction, and interior design firm based in Brevard, N.C., is seeking a collaborative, creative, and results- oriented Architectural Interior Designer with experience in residential design. In this position, you will be involved in all phases of the design process – from schematics, selections, and construction documentation through construction administration. Responsibilities will include: Collaborate with Project Team to create a well-coordinated design Coordinate with internal and external designers, contractors, and vendors Participate in client meetings to review design and select material and finishes Specify materials, finishes, and other selections Interior aspects of construction documents and specifications, including: Casework design, details, and specifications Interior trim design and details Schedules: room finish, casework, finish carpentry, and lighting Architectural lighting design and specification Ensure deliverables are up to date on internal servers and shared platforms Maintain notes and photos from meetings, job site visits, and create follow-up reports Ensure sample library is up to date and organized Foster strong client relationships Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field 5+ years of experience in custom residential architecture Exceptional competency with CAD software in an architectural setting Expertise in ArchiCAD preferred Expertise in casework and electrical design and specification Proficiency in Microsoft, Google, and Adobe applications Excellent communication and organizational skills Works well under pressure To learn more about our company, culture, and team of talented professionals, please visit: platt.us + @platt.us platthome.us + @platt.home Finally, visit explorebrevard.com to discover more about Brevard and the beautiful mountains surrounding our historic downtown office.
