Assistant Professor - Interior Architecture and Design

Mount Mary University seeks a dynamic and collaborative individual to contribute to the realization of its mission through a faculty appointment in the Interior Architecture & Design Program beginning Fall 2026. Engage in a program of research and/or creative scholarship, leading to collaborative projects in the program and other University or industry partners. Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned Skills and Experience Master's degree in an interior-related discipline required (a terminal degree in interior design or closely related field (Ph.D, Master of Interior Design, M.Arch, MFA, MBA, or foreign equivalent) or progress toward a terminal degree is required for a tenure-track appointment; applicants without a terminal degree but with a significant record of professional achievement will be considered for a non-tenure track or professor of practice appointment) Relevant professional experience in interior design and/or architecture. Excellent writing, communication, and Microsoft Excel skills required Exhibits professionalism, integrity and ethics at all times Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups, facilitate group process and foster collaborative decision-making Outstanding presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact with students, employees, donors, accrediting bodies, partners and alumni Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence; experience working with underrepresented students and students from at-risk backgrounds Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and other industry-standard software.
