Successful candidates with will demonstrate expertise and experience in integrating emerging approaches to interior design in their research, teaching, and creative practice. Accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), the undergraduate interior design curriculum provides a robust studio-based design education complemented with project-based technical courses and electives that prepare students for a career in the contemporary interior design profession. One of the fastest growing departments in the College, the Department of Interior Design has a long history of student success, with regular recognition at the regional and national level and high placement percentages for our graduates. The faculty in the department collaborate with colleagues from various departments across the university, including the School of Architecture, the Department of Art, the Department of Building Construction Science, the Department of Communication, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
