Woodcrafters Construction is seeking a full-time Assistant Architect to join our small team ASAP! Job Summary We are seeking a designer with residential remodel design experience with 3 to 10 years of experience. If you enjoy project variety and comprehensive work, then working for a small company like ours is where you want to be! The Architect Assistant will be responsible for contributing to the planning and design phase of medium to large residential remodel projects in the Seattle metropolitan area. · Ability to prepare interior design details & material schedules is a plus · Assist our interior designer with material and finish selections for projects and help with coordinating purchases from vendors · Finalize & plot plans, fill out permit documents, & assist with correction responses · Work on project documentation, project calendars, & supporting project managers Qualifications · Education: BA or Associates degree in architecture · 3 to 10 years planning & design experience in residential remodeling or new construction · Chief Architect software a plus, or Revit, and/or Sketch Up · Scheduling software like Microsoft Project or Builder Trend, familiar with Gantt charts · Proficiency in the use of: \\- Microsoft Office; i.e.. Word, Excel, & Power Point Personal Qualities · Positive Outlook: Keep a great attitude with clients and staff at all times, demonstrate patience with difficult situations, and lead by example in these areas · Organized: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track those goals, keep paperwork, and electronic files well organized · Problem Solving: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and implement the solution · Communicative: Speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques About Us Woodcrafters Construction is a small Design-Build & Remodeling Firm located in Seattle.
