Associate Designer

Associate Desginer Location: New York, NY Sunrise Brands is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented Associate Designer for a fast-paced environment working with multiple Missy Brands. The ideal candidate is a driven, team player that possesses the following skills and qualities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:● Create flat sketches and garment construction details in Illustrator● Log and send comments for all design submits (L/D’s, S/O’s, Fabrics, etc. )● Create Tech Packs in Web PLM (Centric)● Keep organized binders of development, fabrics, etc.● Assist in fittings by recording comments, taking photos and communicating comments to factory● Maintain consistent daily communication with factories● Assist Directors and Designers with response to emails to/from factory and vendor● Review and approve L/D’s, S/O’s, and embellishments● Research new and exciting silhouettes and trends● Research new fabrics and new techniques (embroideries, finishes, washes, etc. )● Research inspirational photos/ideas to apply to seasonal development of full collection● Research market regularly for creative ideas, product awareness and pricing in order to present ideas that are well researched and brand appropriate● Developing and designing trend/mood boards● Visit local shops for trims and fabrics Requirements:● Must have at least 4 years experience in design/fashion● MUST have excellent Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience● Strong flat sketching skills● Experience in Web PLM (Centric)● Candidate must be familiar with the full cycle of fashion design and inclusive of fashion trend forecasting ● Knowledge of garment construction● Candidate must have experience in designing knits and wovens● MUST be team player● A “Can do” attitude and the desire to succeed.● Very organized● Pays close attention to detail● Work with urgency● Great multitasking skills
