About the role The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational aspects of our firm. Duties and Responsibilities: Handle day-to-day office procedures; manage staff and direct reports Ensure strong communication within the team; Function as in-house HR with the assistance of an HR consultant Support client-facing operations, including vetting potential new clients Liaise with and manage bookkeepers and accounting team to ensure tasks are being tracked and completed Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial and productivity reports; recommend and implement changes as needed Provide Financial support and advice to management Develop and manage internal budgets to generate financial projections Work with the Principal to develop a strategic business development plan Help to maintain positive client relationships Manage office equipment and software with IT and various consultants Service providers point of contact Own all recruiting efforts from job description development to pre- screening and facilitating team interviews Manage the on-boarding of all new- hires Manage the development and implementation of streamlined operations and standard operating procedures Manage and liaison with social media, PR and marketing consultants regarding brand visibility including website, content schedules, and marketing collateral Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree business, management or related field 7+ years of professional experience in a similar role Strong capabilities with budgetary processes Experience in financial reporting and analysis for recommending improvements Proficient in Microsoft Office, iOS and/or G-Suite Overall aptitude to learn new software Strong work ethic, goal oriented and extremely efficient Able to work both independently and as part of a team Able to delegate and supervise with results Fast learner and problem solver High attention to detail and highly organized Excellent oral and written communication and skills Nice To Have: Knowledge of interior design process and client expectations Experience in architecture and interior design industry Benefits: $120,000 - $155,000/year, depending on experience Full time position Competitive benefits We look forward to meeting you!
