If you enjoy a mix of driving and hands-on warehouse work, and want to play a key role in logistics and shipping operations, we’d love to meet you.Opportunity SnapshotUnder the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, the CDL Driver / Shipping Associate supports both transportation and shipping operations to ensure the efficient movement of materials and finished goods.This is a hybrid role with responsibilities split between driving and shipping/warehouse support based on business needs. The role includes transporting materials between locations, completing local pickups and deliveries, and supporting order fulfillment through picking, packing, and shipping activities.What You’ll DoTransport materials and products between the main plant, warehouse, and local vendors using a 24’ truck, semi-tractor, or vanStage trailers at plant and warehouse locations and coordinate daily schedules with the shipping teamConduct trailer checks including carrier identification and equipment inventory (pads, straps, load bars, decking)Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring accurate labeling and proper placement within the facilityMake local pickups and deliveries and follow inspection procedures for incoming vendor materialsPerform quality and quantity checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent damagePerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with USDOT guidelines and report maintenance needsPick, pack, crate, and prepare products for shipment using appropriate tools and methods, including blanket wrappingPerform accurate inventory transfers utilizing scan guns and ensure proper product identification and taggingSupport overall shipping and logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate movement of materialsFollow all safety policies, work rules, and maintain housekeeping standardsWhat You Need to SucceedHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredValid driver’s license and Class A CDL with a safe driving recordAbility to obtain and maintain forklift certificationAt least one year of experience driving semi-trailers, warehouse operations, or related experience preferredAbility to read and interpret shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and shipping reportsBasic math skills including measurements, fractions, decimals, and percentagesFamiliarity with computers and Microsoft OfficeAbility to operate trucks, forklifts, yard tractors, and other material handling equipmentStrong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safetyPhysical & Work Environment ExpectationsFrequent sitting, standing, walking, and material handlingRegular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs with assistanceCombination of driving, warehouse, and outdoor work environmentsRequires physical activity including bending, stooping, kneeling, and reachingPay & BenefitsThis role offers a competitive hourly wage , based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications.
