Creative Design Specialist

Auburn Crest Hospice Meridian, Idaho

**Creative Design Specialist (Part-Time)**

**Help us make every first impression feel like home.**

Before a resident or family member ever steps inside, they feel something. At Basinspire, you will decide what that feeling is. As our Creative Design Specialist, you will shape the look and feel of our senior living and memory care communities across Idaho, from the front walkway to the living room.

You will report directly to our CEO and work alongside Executive Directors, maintenance teams, landscapers, and vendors to take projects from first sketch to finished space.

**What you will do**

* Create exterior plans for each community: landscaping, entryways, paint and color, lighting, signage, and outdoor furniture
* Design safe, welcoming spaces for residents, including patios, courtyards, walking paths, and secure memory care gardens
* Choose plants and materials that thrive in Idaho’s climate and keep water and maintenance costs low
* Develop interior concepts, palettes, finishes, and furniture plans for renovations, refreshes, and newly acquired communities
* Build a consistent Basinspire look while honoring the character of each location
* Regularly review curb appeal across our communities and recommend improvements to the CEO
* Keep design standards, approved finishes, a vendor list, and project records in order

**Design with purpose**

You will bring warmth and beauty together with what senior living truly needs: level, slip-resistant walkways, clear sightlines, shade and seating, strong contrast and wayfinding, fall-conscious flooring, and durable, cleanable materials.

**What you will need**

* A portfolio or examples of your work
* Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (plants, materials, furniture, decor)
* Comfort working outdoors in all seasons and on uneven ground
* Pre-employment and random drug testing

**What the work looks like**

* Regular travel between communities across Idaho, with occasional overnight trips (mileage reimbursed per company policy)
* Time on site in occupied communities, with respect for resident privacy, safety, and routines
* A flexible schedule built around project needs, with some work from home or the office for planning and purchasing
