Design Advisors and Retail Associates Wanted

Bow Street Home is a new upscale home boutique opening in Freeport this summer. We are looking to fill the following positions to create our dream team: Retail Manager Design Advisor Retail Associate Ideal candidates have an interest in interior design, helping to create beautiful, serene spaces, handling luxurious textiles and the finest in home accessories and decor. Required: Experience in sales, a friendly and professional disposition, and available to work at least one weekend day per week. Retail experience, some technical skill, and customer service is a must. Duties include, but are not limited to: Overseeing daily operations of the store Ensuring store cleanliness Inputing, receiving and tagging inventory Managing a small group of staff Communicating effectively with owners and staff Beneficial Skills, but not required: 2+ years of visual merchandising and presentation experience Detailed-oriented and self-motivated Knowledgeable of current interior design and visual merchandising trends Natural collaborator, able to identify opportunities to take initiative in making merchandising and presentation adjustments Willingness to perform other duties as required that are necessary to support the business ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently Bending/stooping/kneeling required Climbing ladders – occasionally Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours) Ability to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed Compensation will be based on experience.
