Design Assistant

Company Description We are currently seeking a Design Assistant to support our project leads throughout the design process. We are looking for someone that is willing to adapt and learn how Rachel Mast Design operates and is eager to join the team. The Design Assistant will be responsible for assisting with interior design projects, creating design drafts using CAD software, and creating graphic design content. Qualifications • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills • Proficiency in Interior Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) • Experience in Graphic Design • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related field is a plus • Assist project leads with all phases of the design process, from concept to installation • Support with proposals, vendor quotes, and managing lead time and specification spreadsheets • Attend site visits, client meetings, and vendor appointments around the ciry and beyond • Participate in vendor presentations and internal office meetings • Create and update floor plans, elevations, and design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp • Use Adobe Photoshop to render design concepts and presentations • Has access to mobile transportation
