Design Assistant / CAD Designer

Design Assistant / CAD Designer Katie Sharpton Design is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Design Assistant / CAD Designer to join our team. This position will play a key role in supporting our designers through the development of technical drawings, presentation materials, and project documentation for high-end residential projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of design, is highly organized, and has a strong eye for both drafting and visual presentation. Responsibilities: • Create and revise detailed AutoCAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, lighting plans, cabinetry drawings, and construction details • Assist in preparing client presentations, design boards, specifications, and other presentation materials • Support the design team with project documentation, selections, and design development • Produce drawing sets for client presentations, contractor coordination, and construction purposes • Maintain accurate project files, drawings, and specifications across multiple active projects • Assist with sourcing furniture, finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and materials as needed • Coordinate drawing updates and revisions based on feedback from the design team, clients, contractors, and vendors • Help ensure project information is organized and communicated clearly throughout all phases of a project
