Design Associate

About the Position

We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented **Design Associate** to join our growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a **recent graduate** with a passion for interior design who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. **IN PERSON ONLY**

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent design instincts and the ability to translate client conversations into thoughtful, functional, and beautiful design solutions. You should be organized, adaptable, and excited to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects while learning from an experienced team. **THIS POSITION IS FOR A RECENT INTERIOR DESIGN GRADUATE**  

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited college or university.

* **Recent graduate** or **0–2 years of professional interior design experience.**

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and architectural plans.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in both collaborative and independent work environments.

* Positive attitude with the ability to remain professional in a fast-paced setting.

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

As an Design Associate, you will support the design team through every phase of the project while gaining valuable industry experience. Responsibilities include:

* Assist in creating creative and functional interior design concepts, layouts, and presentations.

* Meet with clients alongside the design team to understand project goals, needs, and design preferences.

* Prepare design presentations, including floor plans, mood boards, 2D and 3D renderings, and material selections.

* Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and project team members.

* Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, specifications, and project documentation.

* Coordinate product orders, monitor order status, and follow through on deliveries.

* Schedule and coordinate installations and project logistics.

* Conduct site visits for field measurements, documentation, client meetings, and installation coordination.

* Maintain organized project files, schedules, spreadsheets, and records.

* Stay current with industry trends, products, materials, and emerging design technologies.

* Assist with the firm's social media and marketing initiatives as needed.

* Perform general administrative support, including answering phones and assisting with office operations.

* Maintain regular communication with the Principal Designer and project teams regarding project progress and deadlines.

Position Details

* **Monday–Friday**

* **Work Location:** On-site only (remote work is not available for this position.)

* Valid driver's license required.

*Starting at $25.00 per hour depending on experience
