The candidate will primarily be responsible for producing designs and design drawings with involvement in all phases of the project process. Working independently and in collaboration with firm Principals, Directors, Managers, other Designers, and technical team members, the Design Associate/Manager will work on a wide variety of public and private projects throughout the United States, with an emphasis on designing and visioning for the public realm. Typical project types include parks, streetscapes, plazas, multi-family housing, commercial, and mixed-use developments, design guidelines and master plans, community engagement, and placemaking projects. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in generating authentic, place-based design, a dedication to design research, excellent critical thinking skills, self-motivation, open collaboration, and a commitment to equity, community, and design excellence.Qualifications:Bachelor or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, Planning, or a related field.Six (6) or more years of professional experience, including at least five (5) years of experience in a design role, with demonstrated experience in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design.High level of proficiency in design ideation, processes, research, principles, and best practices.An interest in design innovation and a strong knowledge base in sustainable design.A deep understanding of thoughtful material selection and creative design detailing.Strong design, hand drawing, rendering, and graphic skills.Demonstrated competency with relevant software, including Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino), rendering software (e.g., Lumion), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. site , we are dedicated to building an outstanding, diverse, and inclusive team, so if you're excited about this role, but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway.
