Design Center Consultant

Job Description David Weekley Homes is currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer service oriented Design Consultant for our New Home Design Center in Jacksonville... Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To • Ability to work a Monday-Friday schedule • Provide enthusiastic and professional service for customer calls and visits • Educate the buyer and set realistic expectations regarding the design selection process • Offer design guidance and product knowledge to both internal and external customers • Prepare decorator selection packages for quick move-in homes • Meet with vendors to review new product offerings • Assist designers/buyers with selections to customize their home and pricing out options • Enter customer information/selections into computer system • Schedule appointments with home buyers and designers • Maintain design center sampling and signage • Coordinate with construction manager to confirm correct features, options and upgrades • Various tasks including answering phones, filing, organizing, interacting with internal and external customers • Prepare reports and maintain updated inventory and supplies Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following • Prior design-related sales and/or design experience with a production homebuilder preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design preferred • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Willingness to learn and adapt • Great listening skills and creative problem solving with the ability to find the root cause, as well as a solution • Ability to deal with conflict as well as set and re-set expectations • Must be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and self-discipline • High level of integrity • Organized with solid time management skills and ability to multitask We offer an excellent benefits package that includes: • Health Insurance - Medical, Dental and Vision • 401k and discretionary 8% match; Employee Stock Ownership Program • Profit Sharing • Vacation, Holidays and PTO • New Home Discount for Team Member and Family • Team Member Product Discount • Community Outreach • Chaplain Program • And More
