Design Center Consultant

Job Description David Weekley Homes is currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented Design Consultant for our Design Center located in Cary, NC... We are seeking candidates with prior design experience with a residential home builder to offer design guidance and product knowledge to our customers as they make the selections to customize the interior of their David Weekley Home. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To • Professional Customer Service for customers calling and visiting the Design Center • Ability to work in roles that vary from answering phones, filing and organizing to interacting with internal and external customers • Scheduling Appointments with designers/homebuyers • Entering customer information/selections into computer system • Maintain design center sampling and signage • Prepare decorator selection package • Order/maintain supplies • Keep inventory and various lists updated • Assisting designers/buyers with selections • Prepare reports Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (JDEdwards and Lotus Notes are also helpful, but not required) • Prior design related sales and/or design experience with a production homebuilder • Excellent customer service & listening skills • Willingness to learn and adapt • Ability to deal with conflict & set expectations • Must be a team-player with an enthusiastic attitude • Effective communication skills and a sense of urgency • High level of integrity • Self-disciplined and organized with excellent follow-up • Good time management skills • A flexible schedule to allow for working weekends and evenings*
