Design Consultant

Guide homebuyers through the design selection process, providing information on finishes, materials, and available options Prepare and document design selections to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational requirements Maintain design samples, finish libraries, and presentation materials to support buyer appointments and model selections Assist in developing cohesive design palettes that reflect community standards and market trends Review design selections for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility Coordinate with construction, purchasing, and sales teams to answer design-related questions and clarify selection details Resolve design or documentation issues using prior experience and structured analysis Support model home design preparation, including materials research and coordination with merchandising Provide guidance or assistance to entry-level design or support team members Additional experience in residential or customer-facing interior design environments Broad knowledge of interior design workflows, systems, and tools Experience collaborating cross-functionally within design or operational teams Broad knowledge of interior design principles, materials, finishes, and residential product standards Strong customer service and communication skills to support buyer interactions Ability to review, interpret, and document design selections accurately Strong problem-solving skills using prior experience and analytical evaluation Proficiency with design documentation tools and standard office software Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple appointments, tasks, and deadlines Ability to maintain organized design materials and showroom environments Skill in collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve design or selection issues
