Summary Clark is currently seeking highly talented Senior Design Managers. Key responsibilities include: • Successfully delivering a design that is on budget, on schedule, and compliant with program standards • Actively leading an integrated design-build team, including regular interfaces with clients, designers, trade partners and other key stakeholders • Leading stakeholder decision meetings, design progress meetings, and design conferences • Shaping design deliverables and workflow during the design process, including critical decisions regarding design packaging to support subcontracting and permitting • Organizing and leading the design review process to ensure collection and resolution of all issues • Managing design issue resolution in real-time • Leading collaboration internally with technical teams, project managers, cost managers, and purchasing agents • Participating in development of RFP and RFQ responses including providing strategic insights to pursuit strategy Qualifications • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Economics, etc.) Skills & Abilities: • Strong knowledge of design and cost management principles and practices • Clear understanding of integrated design and construction schedules • Appreciation and understanding of architecture firms’ business model, design principles, and process • Ability to lead a collaborative design process with various stakeholders • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-management skills • Ability to train, manage, and influence direct reports • Ability to motivate and collaborate with peers working at other firms • Ability to work with and present to executive leadership • Ability to participate in pursuit efforts for design-build projects • Self-motivated, organized team player with ability to manage work priorities in a fast-paced environment • Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative, creative work environment and influence others • Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, builds relationships, builds people/teams and followership, sets direction, and executes
