The Design Manager (DM) is responsible for the coordination and successful completion of the design of a project by managing the design team and through implementation of Hensel Phelps design management tools. Position Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management or equivalent industry experience. Essential Duties • Participate in the development of the design to ensure: • Safety measures are incorporated into the design to be used both during construction and permanently by the owner. Develop and implement the constructability review process and third party/peer review process. Work with the lead designer to ensure choices are made that allow the project to the owner’s and Hensel Phelps’ criteria for cost, schedule and performance.
