Design Manager - Residential Builder

The Design Manager is responsible for the direct management and operations of the Interior Design function. - Manage a team of regional designers and admin staff in all functions of the department - Initiate and execute annual rollout of approved selection packages - Drive design selection innovation by staying on the forefront of trends - Create and implement community streetscape selections - Continually make improvements to the customer upgrade selection appointment process - Maintain upgrade tracking per community and region and provide reports to management team - Oversee the model merchandising efforts - Provide creative inspiration and manage team execution of region tour/show homes - Work alongside various company departments to ensure brand identity is protected, all standards are met and timelines are consistent with construction schedules 5+ years background in the design industry required Previous experience in a supervisory role is required Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity both in and out of work environment
