Design Specialist

Overview We invite you to apply for the role of Design Specialist at Floor & Decor. Pay Range Minimum Eligibility Requirements • 1+ years of retail or customer service experience • High school diploma or GED • Proficient in basic mathematical skills • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite • Internal candidates must have a minimum of 6 months with Floor & Decor Essential Functions • Greet customers with a welcoming approach and support their design needs • Schedule design appointments to develop a strong clientele through networking and referrals, plus leads generated in-store • Advise homeowners, interior designers, and builders on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for both residential and commercial projects • Create and sell complete design solutions that are functional and aesthetically pleasing • Manage multiple customer projects throughout various phases, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and ongoing communication • Work collaboratively with store leadership and team members to oversee projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales objectives • Support company initiatives enthusiastically by modeling and mentoring best practices • Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, the Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject • Carry out additional duties as assigned
