We are presently searching for a Designer or Senior Designer for our Philadelphia studio. The Designer, working under general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, provides design support primarily in project administration, design development and contract documents. Works with team to develop design ideas and create drawingsFor smaller projects may oversee all design and drawingProvide review of engineering drawings to ensure they comply with design solution.With Senior Designer, researches and selects fixtures and finishes to use for projectsEnsures integration into overall designPreliminary space plans for larger projectsMay develop and finalize space plans for smaller projectsWorks with Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issuesProvides detail for interior design projectsDevelops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for small to medium projectsAssists in developing packages for larger projectsObtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimatesIn unusual circumstances may be required to assist with support for field surveysManages design budget for assigned projectsMay mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate DesignersOversee tasks and provide feedback on work productConducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements; good working knowledge of Affinity program tool Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics in corporate interiorsAdvanced knowledge of space planningExtensive knowledge of furnishings and finishesFamiliar with the concepts of furniture layoutAdvanced sketching and rendering skillsAdvanced interior architecture detailing skillsWorking knowledge of CDs and proceduresWorking knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirementsWorking knowledge of path of travel requirementsWorking knowledge of contract administrationIntermediate MS Office Suite skillsAdvanced Revit skillsAdvanced Adobe Creative Suite skillsProficiency with InDesign and 3Ds MaxDemonstrated ability to manage and lead junior staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise
