Designer

At Floor & Decor Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget.\n \nMinimum Eligibility Requirements\n\n Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience\n Degree in Design is a plus\n Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus\n Proficient in basic mathematical skills\n Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment\n Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills\n Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite\n Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position\n \nEssential Functions\n\n Greet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs\n Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store\n Providing tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.\n Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions\n Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.\n \nPhysical/Sensory Requirements\n \nMedium Work \u2013 Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
