### What you'll do

As a Designer, you'll greet store customers in a helpful manner and support all design walk-in needs. You'll schedule appointments for existing and potential customers, building your clientele through networking, referrals, and in-store leads. You'll provide expert advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects. Your day-to-day involves designing and selling complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions — all while managing multiple customer projects with high accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up. You'll use company communication tools and design applications like Salesforce, our proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and My. Project. Collaboration with store leadership and team members is key to managing projects from inquiry through installation, and you'll enthusiastically support all company initiatives by modeling and coaching best practices.

### What we're looking for

- Minimum of **one year** of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience

- A degree in Design is a plus

- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus

- Proficiency in basic mathematical skills

- Self-motivation and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite

- Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience as a design consultant

### Working conditions and physical requirements

This role is located at our Tucson, AZ store. While performing duties, you may be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles, with noise levels typically moderate to noisy. Limited travel by car may be required. Physical demands include the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. You'll often use your hands and fingers to handle or feel, and occasionally need to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

### Store hours

Our store is open Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Pickup hours are the same.
