At Floor & Decor Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Essential Functions include greeting store customers in a helpful manner and supporting store design walk-in needs, scheduling design appointments for existing and potential customers, providing tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects, designing and selling complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions, managing multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others, collaborating, partnering and communicating with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, enthusiastically supporting all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees, engaging in current and emerging design trends in your market, responsible for understanding and utilizing design applications such as Salesforce, proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject, and performing other duties as assigned. Working conditions include limited travel by car, exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles with moderate to noisy noise levels.
