Designer / Interior Designer - Garcia Construction

About the Role: As a Designer at Garcia Construction you will be the creative and technical lead on a variety of residential and light commercial projects. Job Duties: • Collaborate directly with clients to design kitchens, bathrooms, home additions, and light remodels • Collaborate directly with commercial and internal clients to design retail and restaurant tenant buildouts • Create detailed CAD drawings including layouts, elevations • Create detailed CAD drawings for garages, decks, and carports • Create submittal and specification sheets for projects • Work closely with our in-house architect to review and revise drawings as needed • Coordinate with the construction team to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the build process • Project coordination and scheduling • Specify and order all finish materials including windows, doors, cabinetry, fixtures, and finishes • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field • 4+ years of relevant experience • Familiarity with permitting processes and building codes • Familiarity with federal, state, and local historic preservation requirements • Experience with project management software • Involvement in exciting and diverse residential projects
