Designer - kitchen, bathroom, closets

You will participate in the conceptual development of the projects, liaise with the customers and help execute the designs. About Reed Interiors: We are the Santa Barbara Home Design Studio offering a wide range of services from flooring to kitchen and bath design with a European touch. Responsibilities: \\- Meeting with customers and offering solutions for their kitchen, closet and bathroom cabinet needs. \\- Undertake design project from concept to completion \\- Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief” \\- Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans \\- Set costs and project fees according to budget \\- Research and decide on materials and products sourcing \\- Produce “sample” and “mood products” \\- Supervise work progress \\- Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors \\- Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practises \\- Answering phone calls and greeting clients Skills: \\- Art, Architecture or Interior Design education preferred \\- Some experience in European design \\- Understanding of layout and functions of spaces. \\- Experience within a design firm or high-end furniture and luxury retail preferred \\- People and relationship driven \\- Strategic and mental agility \\- Highly organized \\- Collaborative \\- Excellent verbal and written communication skills \\- Proficiency with Google Applications \\- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other related space planning/rendering programs preferred \\- Strong artistic skills, including hand rendering and sketching capabilities preferred Pay: Base compensation and commission Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm Experience: \\- CAD (rendering): 1 year minimum (Required) Language: English (fluently in writing, speaking) (Required) Work location: You will be required to work from the Showroom at 590 E Gutierrez, Santa Barbara CA 93103 Company’s website: https://reed-interiors.com/ Physical Requirements: \\- Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs.
