Director of Interior Design

Job Overview: • Proven leadership skills at the group and firm level • Strong ability to manage client and brand relationships • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and conflict resolution skills • Willing and able to make empowered decisions as a leader • Able to multi-task and adjust to change with tight timelines in a fast paced, highly creative environment • Organized and thorough work style with emphasis on time management • Collaborative and professional work ethic • Self-directed and motivated • Travel for professional or business development and projects as required JOB REQUIRED SKILLS • Collaborate with Director peers to maintain a steady, creative design vision and process that generates value to clients, team members and firm while continually building The Gettys Group as a design leader • Manage Quality Control protocols and ensure implementation across all studio projects • Develop monthly project staffing, inclusive of Manila team members, based on studio projections • Ensure all projects are on track for Monthly Deliverables and proactively address any at risk projects • Prepare and review new project scopes, work plans and contracts as required • Exhibit passionate team mentality and promote a continuous learning environment within the Design group; motivate team members and enable their growth as designers • Identify interests, concerns and issues within the studio to ensure all are addressed and resolved in an expeditious manner • Foster an ‘‘open-door’’ policy with team members to empower communication with immediate supervisor and other members of leadership • Manage administrative processes including but not limited to time and expense approval and PTO requests • Work in conjunction with HR to staff all open positions within the studio • Establish communication and understanding regarding company policies and office procedures • Participate in the performance, salary and quarterly check-in reviews for Designer I, II and III as required • Maintain a positive team environment in the studio • Follow and provide input into group processes and procedures to ensure strategies and directives of department are carried out in accordance with group and firm-wide objectives • Ensure all projects are on track for Monthly Deliverables and proactively address any at risk projects • Prepare and review new project scopes, work plans and contracts as required • Exhibit passionate team mentality and promote a continuous learning environment within the Design group; motivate team members and enable their growth as designers • Identify interests, concerns and issues within the studio to ensure all are addressed and resolved in an expeditious manner • Foster an ‘‘open-door’’ policy with team members to empower communication with immediate supervisor and other members of leadership • Manage administrative processes including but not limited to time and expense approval and PTO requests • Work in conjunction with HR to staff all open positions within the studio • Establish communication and understanding regarding company policies and office procedures • Participate in the performance, salary and quarterly check-in reviews for Designer I, II and III as required • Maintain a positive team environment in the studio • Follow and provide input into group processes and procedures to ensure strategies and directives of department are carried out in accordance with group and firm-wide objectives Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Health savings account • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance Experience: • Interior Design: 10 years (Preferred)
