An award-winning interior design firm is on the lookout for a Design Director. The role sits in the commercial team, primarily focusing on hospitality and multi-family projects. This is a leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Principal, and is a new role as a result of growth and a healthy pipeline of work. As a Director, you will be responsible for raising the level of design on every project, mentoring junior/intermediate designers, and leading client meetings.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below. Who you are An interior designer/architect with over 10 years of experience Experience managing at least a couple of junior/intermediate designers A natural leader - empathetic and able to coach and develop junior team members Confident leading the front end of the design process - leading initial meetings with clients High levels of executive functioning - able to operate effectively in a team environment with tight deadlines A portfolio of design-driven, highly detailed, award-winning projects A high level of curiosity - an interest in developing and learning Technically savvy - high level of competence in Revit What you'll be doing Leading and mentoring a team of 3 to 4 designers Networking with developers and other potential clients Leading the design of multi-family, commercial, and smaller commercial workplace projects Client relationship management Reporting to the Managing Principal Being part of the leadership team#J-18808-Ljbffr
