Interior Design Consultant Job Floor Decor's Interior Design Consultants work in a fast-paced environment and must be self-motivated and able to multitask. Key Responsibilities: • Greet customers in a helpful manner and provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects • Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking, referrals, and store-generated leads • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions for customers • Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up, using company communication tools Required Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience • Degree in Design is a plus • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus • Proficient in basic mathematical skills • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite Benefits: • Bonus opportunities at every level • Career advancement and relocation opportunities • 401k with company match • Employee Stock Purchase Plan • Referral Bonus Program • Personal holiday and Volunteer Time Off • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and other insurance plans Working Conditions: • Limited travel by car may be required • Work involves exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles, with moderate to noisy noise levels Physical/Sensory Requirements: Medium work involving exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and other physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and feeling.
