Engineered Wood Designer

This is a full-time on-site role for an Engineered Wood Designer based in Modesto, CA. The Engineered Wood Designer will draft and design engineered wood components, including roof trusses, wall designs, and floor systems. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting architectural plans, preparing and reviewing structural layouts, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with design and safety standards. Proficiency in drafting and design tools such as AutoCAD, MiTek and associated software for creating engineered wood designs.Knowledge of architectural plans, structural layouts, and building codes.Experience with wall panels, joists, and floor systems in residential or commercial construction.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to solve design-related issues efficiently.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and internal teams.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.
