Entry Level Interior Design Assistant

Carrie Long Interiors is a Michigan-based interior design firm specializing in luxury residential planning, furnishings, and interior design. This is a full-time, on-site role for an Office Design Assistant at Carrie Long Interiors, located in Royal Oak, MI. The Office Design Assistant will also maintain awareness of project budgets, client payments, and outstanding balances, working closely with Purchasing and Finance to help ensure project information remains current and billing milestones are properly communicated throughout the project lifecycle. Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.Ability to understand and read floor plans and construction drawings.Graphic design skills and a strong eye for aesthetics to assist in creating presentations and design materials.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Attention to detail and ability to follow projects through all phases of execution.Understanding of project budgets and willingness to learn the financial aspects of project management and client billing.Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative mindset.Experience with project management software, Microsoft Office, or design software is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
