Entry Level Project Coordinator Position

Entry Level Project Coordinator Position Design-build firm specializing in high end commercial and residential architectural metal and glass looking for new hire! This position is located at our Hicksville, New York office. Candidate must have reliable transportation to Hicksville, New York. Responsibilities Include • Field work; assisting in job mobilizations, surveys, layouts, quality control etc. Preferred majors: o Design / Design Thinking / Industrial Design / Communication Design o Architecture / Interior Design / Urban Planning / Urban Studies o Civil/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering o Business Administration / Commerce o Project Management and/or Entrepreneurship o Construction/Building Science o Fine Arts/Studio Art/Arts Management o Physics/ Mathematics Additional skills that are a PLUS, but not required and will be taught on the job: • Developing project proposals , estimates, change orders, and transmittals • Risk management • Team management and task delegation • Creating and maintaining schedules • Problem-solving for design/build issues as project moves from development to fabrication to installation • Reading architectural plans, doing take-offs and vendor research • Reading construction, fabrication drawings engineering plans • Conducting Field layouts and surveys If interested, please send a cover letter describing why this position interests you, and a resume with your educational and work experience.
