Job Summary Burns & McDonnell is seeking a highly skilled Interior Designer/Space Planner to join our team. You will also be responsible for compiling programming data, preparation of design plans and renderings, furniture planning and reconfiguration, researching interior design products, and selecting color, finish, and materials. Responsibilities • Develop designs, specifications, and construction documents for interior scopes of work • Create and implement interior design and space planning strategies • Prepare designs, quantity calculations, diagrams, and final working drawings for interiors of aviation and/or federal facilities • Compile programming data and prepare design plans and renderings • Conduct research on interior design products and make recommendations • Participate in construction administration activities through site visits and review of submittals • Maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or similar field is required • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Interior Design or similar field of study is required • National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ Certification) is required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required • Demonstrated knowledge of Revit and other 3-D visualization software such as Enscape and/or Lumion is preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of Interior Design specifications, calculations, industry standards, and visual, written, and oral communication skills is preferred • Expert in the use of computers for making architectural drawings, calculations, and 3-D visual simulations is preferred What We Offer • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunity to work with a reputable company in the industry • Collaborative and dynamic work environment • Professional development opportunities
