Freelance Interior Designer

We’re seeking a freelance interior designer who’s hardworking, creative, highly organized, detail oriented and works well both independently and as a team player. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing interior design firm who has a consistent amount of work. You’ll be working directly with the principal designer on multiple projects with responsibilities that include the following: • Compose mood boards and gather images to establish the look and feel for a project • Select and specify lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials, and finishes. • Assist with the production of construction documents & drawings, including floor plans, elevations, RCP, etc. • A minimum of 3+ years of interior design experience • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign are a must) • Must own a reliable computer and related design programs • Strong design & presentation skills are essential • Knowledge of interior design trade resources and vendors (preferably in the Los Angeles area) Bonus points for competency in: • AutoCAD • Sketchup Education: Bachelor's degree in interior design (preferred, but not required) Work location: Work from home Please submit a cover letter explaining why you would be a good fit for the position, your resume, portfolio and a list of your top three design stores.
