Full Time Design Consultant

Our Bassett Design Consultants are responsible for building meaningful and long-term customer relationships. They have comprehensive knowledge ranging from furniture construction to design trends. They use “relationship selling” techniques through interior design consultations and makeovers to maximize selling opportunities. Opportunity: • FULL TIME Schedule with a starting hourly rate at $18.00/hour • ADDITIONAL commission compensation, including additional compensation for In Home Design Consulting • Comprehensive Benefits Package • Consistent work schedule including 3 days off every other week o Attractive Retail Store hours: Monday through Saturday open 10-7, Sunday open 11-6 • Friendly and positive work environment with supportive management team • Sales averages of $70,000 monthly generates an annual income of about $67,000 Job Qualifications: • Passion for design and fashion • Driven to meet or exceed sales goals • Discern and coordinate colors and textures for in-style looks and trends • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Friendly outgoing personality • Positive outlook • Computer proficient and experience with space planning • Desire to learn • Sales Experience • Career-minded professionalism • Ability to listen and translate customer wants into design choices Job Requirements: • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays • Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment • Dedicated to being a supportive team member • Capable of thriving in varied paced retail environment • Ability to drive to customers’ residences and businesses for makeovers • Creating, presenting, and selling product and design solutions • Engaging customers to determine their needs according to taste, lifestyle, and investment range Training: Our training program is designed to help each associate create a meaningful career at Bassett.
