Required Qualifications: BFA, BA, or related degree in Interior Design and/or a record of at least ten years professional experience in the field of interior design or interior architecture. Demonstrated excellence in teaching college-level Interior Design Drawing, Studio, 2D and 3D design Foundations, Model Making, and Design Theory and Practice Demonstrated commitment to improving the diversity, equity, inclusivity, and accessibility of design Demonstrated experience employing non-traditional modes of instruction to successfully engage students in learning activities Experience working successfully with populations similar to the CSULB student body, both in terms of demographics and socio-economic status Demonstrated experience with and/or potential for successfully contributing to curriculum development Record of academic and community service Demonstrated ability to teach both lower and upper-division undergraduate design studio courses, lectures, and seminars in area(s) of expertise (i.e. CSULB seeks to recruit faculty who enthusiastically support the University's strong commitment to the academic success of all students, including students of color, students with disabilities, students who are first generation to college, veterans, students with diverse socio-economic backgrounds, and students of diverse sexual orientations and gender expressions.
