Required Qualifications: • BFA, BA, or related degree in Interior Design and/or a record of at least ten years professional experience in the field of interior design or interior architecture. • Demonstrated excellence in teaching college-level Interior Design Drawing, Studio, 2D and 3D design Foundations, Model Making, and Design Theory and Practice • Demonstrated commitment to improving the diversity, equity, inclusivity, and accessibility of design • Demonstrated experience employing non-traditional modes of instruction to successfully engage students in learning activities • Experience working successfully with populations similar to the CSULB student body, both in terms of demographics and socio-economic status • Demonstrated experience with and/or potential for successfully contributing to curriculum development • Record of academic and community service • Demonstrated ability to teach both lower and upper-division undergraduate design studio courses, lectures, and seminars in area(s) of expertise (i.e. • Teach undergraduate and graduate interior design studio and design theory courses that align with candidate's areas of expertise which may also include Architectural Drawing, 2D Design Studios, 3D Design Studios, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Themed Entertainment Design, Placemaking, Wayfinding Design, Experiential Environment Design, and/or other Areas of Specialization in Design • Contribute to the development of curriculum in Design Studio and Theory • Advise students and contribute to the planning and production of physical and virtual student exhibitions • Participate and provide service to the department, college, university, and community • Teach undergraduate and graduate interior design studio and design theory courses that align with candidate's areas of expertise which may also include Architectural Drawing, 2D Design Studios, 3D Design Studios, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Themed Entertainment Design, Placemaking, Wayfinding Design, Experiential Environment Design, and/or other Areas of Specialization in Design • Contribute to the development of curriculum in Design Studio and Theory • Advise students and contribute to the planning and production of physical and virtual student exhibitions • Participate and provide service to the department, college, university, and community
