Furniture Sales Associate

Ot/tra by Zimmerman Workshop, a bespoke furniture brand in Brooklyn, is searching for a Sales Associate to join our team. Responsibilities: \\- Set and achieve sales goals, maintain sales reports for weekly review with leadership team \\- Develop and manage relationships; Identify new business opportunities (in both residential and commercial sectors) \\- Call on firms, arrange presentations, and follow through on meetings accordingly \\- Cold call designers to introduce yourself and our brand \\- Regularly attend industry events on behalf of Ot/tra \\- Be present with Ot/tra’s owners at trade shows, including the upcoming Architectural Digest Design Show in March \\- Reply to online inquiries, generate quotes, and track sales per our procedures manual \\- Update clients on project progress throughout the 12-14-week production period \\- Liaise with the design team on custom and/or expedited orders \\- Use social media as a tool to raise brand awareness for Ot/tra \\- Contribute ideas for our monthly newsletter \\- Help to plan and host gatherings at our showroom in Brooklyn (opening in Red Hook Spring 2020) Expectations and skills required \\- Offer impeccable service to customers and trade clients \\- Have knowledge of all Ot/tra products, as well as its custom fabrication capabilities \\- When not on sales calls, candidate will be present in the office/showroom (this is not a remote position) \\- Work within our existing Client Relationship Management system; proficiency in Word and Excel \\- Excellent written and verbal communications skills \\- Detail-oriented and can-do approach to all aspects of the work \\- Punctual and professional \\- Design industry experience a plus, but not essential A bit more about us: Ottra by Zimmerman Workshop creates sculptural, solid wood furniture.
