Hiring Interior Designer / Project Manager

Project Manager and Interior Designer Job Type: Part-Time or Full-time Pay: $35 - $45 per hour We are a boutique design studio in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland with a full-time opportunity for a talented, energetic Project Manager and Interior Designer who is passionate about interior design and enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Interior Designer will work directly with the Principal and design team focusing on maintaining a high standard of care for clients and work through good collaboration, communication and documentation of interior design projects. The position is 30-40 hours per week with an option to work 1-2 days from home. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ____________________________________________________________________________________ Assist, collaborate and initiate ideas with the project team in the design process (developing ideas, bringing ideas to the table) Drawing floor plans and elevations in the production of interior architectural design and construction documents on a variety of project types Coordinate FF&E; proposals, client invoicing, vendor purchasing, delivery and installation Assist and collaborate with the project team in producing presentation materials and in presenting designs to clients and other consultants Assist and collaborate with the project team in conducting construction-phase activities including shop drawing review, requests for information, drawing and document updates, project record-keeping Coordinate initial phases of interior design projects, including consultations and site visits Serve as primary client liaison after design project completion, from order placement to delivery and installation QUALIFICATIONS ________________________________________ English (Required) US work authorization (Required) Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Preferred) Minimum of 2-3 years experience at a design firm JOB REQUIREMENTS ________________________________________ Experience with AutoCAD both in 2D and 3D, Chief Architect, InDesign, Sketch Up, Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand sketching Experience in sourcing and documenting FF&E; design and/or selection & documentation of interior architectural finishes Highly skilled with detailed drawings and construction documentation and coordination Strong skills in both project design and project management Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must be detail-oriented and thorough Meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced Willing to take initiative and ownership of all tasks on projects Proficiency with IVY, Designer Advantage, or similar software Benefits: Paid time off Flexible Schedule Professional development assistance COVID-19 considerations: We are following all of the local, state and CDC guidelines.
