Home Decor Designer
Position Type: Full time/ Onsite 5x week
Pay Range: 80-95K
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enchante Accessories is seeking an experienced Home Decor Designer to design and develop physical consumer products from initial concept through factory sample. This role combines physical product design with graphic, surface-pattern, and artwork development, including product shape, form, colorways, prints, patterns, graphics, and technical direction for manufacturing. The ideal candidate has experience creating both the physical product and the visual artwork applied to it, with an understanding of how creative concepts translate into commercially viable, manufacturable products. Candidates should have a portfolio demonstrating physical products that have progressed through production, including examples of product design, graphics, artwork, patterns, or surface design applied to manufactured goods. In this role, you will:
Create original artwork, surface patterns, prints, illustrations, graphics, and colorways for application to physical products.Design and develop product concepts, including shape, form, materials, finishes, artwork, pattern, and overall visual direction.Apply artwork and graphic concepts across a variety of manufactured consumer products.Create tech packs, technical artwork, specifications, and factory-ready design direction.Review and mark up factory samples for shape, construction, dimensions, color, artwork placement, materials, and finishes.Work directly with overseas factories to translate both product and graphic concepts into manufacturable products.Design to target costs and adjust materials, construction, finishes, or design details when necessary to meet costing requirements.Perform other related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
Strong surface-pattern design and illustration skills.Proven experience creating original artwork and adapting it across multiple product categories.Experience designing products for manufacturing and mass-market production.Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Excellent understanding of color, composition, print development, layout, and current design trends.Strong sketching, rendering, and presentation skills.Understanding of manufacturing processes, production requirements, and factory constraints.Ability to interpret customer direction and develop commercially relevant product concepts.Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BFA Degree in Design or a related field with 5+ years of design experience
