The Designer, working under general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, provides design support primarily in project administration, presentations, concept design through design development, and contract documents.Specific responsibilities will include:Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawingsDrafts technical drawingsProvides review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solutionEnsures integration into overall designPreliminary concept plans for larger projectsMay develop and finalize conceptual design for smaller projectsOversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issuesProvides detail for interior and architectural design projectsDevelops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exteriorAssists in developing packages for larger projectsObtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimatesManages design budget for assigned projectsMay mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate DesignersQualifications:Graduate of architecture or design school; equivalent experience may be substituted6+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiorKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Advanced presentation skillsAdvanced knowledge of space planningExtensive knowledge of furnishings and finishesExtensive knowledge of concepts of furniture layoutAdvanced sketching and rendering skillsAdvanced architecture detailing skillsExtensive knowledge of CDs and proceduresExtensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirementsWorking knowledge of path of travel requirementsWorking knowledge of contract administrationIntermediate MS Office Suite skillsAdvanced Revit skillsAdvanced Adobe Creative Suite skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
