In-Person Interior Designer, Freelance

**Overview:** Havenly is seeking experienced Interior Designers to join our team in Chicago and surrounding areas. As a freelance Interior Designer, you will work with clients in-person to design modern, custom spaces that they love. You will have access to our technology and support services, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional client experiences and beautiful designs. **Responsibilities:** • Collaborate with residential clients in Chicago-area to understand their design preferences, needs, and budget • Lead the design process with clients, including development of a mood board, design concept, floor plan, and 3D rendering • Source furniture & decor on Havenly's platform, where clients can checkout for all our vendor partners in one cart • Grow deep client relationships to drive repeat and referral business • *Qualifications:** • Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program or university (preferred) • 3+ years of working as an interior designer and with your own clients in-person and/or virtually • Industry-professional presence with confident, knowledgeable, and clear communication style • Tech-savviness with comfort using online technologies to create concept boards, 3D renderings, floorplans, presentations, and communications • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Canva with ability to layer images and use functionality such as the background remover • High degree of passion, drive, and knowledge to achieve the best possible creative results • Small business mindset with ability to drive projects forward and convert beautiful designs into sales • High level of product knowledge across many vendors, categories, and price points to quickly source furnishing and decor that match client needs • Access to reliable transportation, computer with video conferencing capabilities, and current Photoshop license or Canva account • *Benefits:** • Compensation includes a combination of pay per project + commission + bonus • Opportunity to work with a fun, convenient, and affordable solution for designing homes • Access to our technology and support services to streamline your design business • Potential for repeat and referral business with deep client relationships • Competitive compensation package • Opportunity to work with a diverse and inclusive team
