The sales associate candidate should be creative, energetic, self-motivated, highly organized, and analytical. As an in-store sales associate, you will be responsible for engaging with store clients and determining the scope of their project; once established, preparing product selections and figures to establish an estimate, resulting in an order or an in-home consultation with our in-home sales associate, track orders and provide updates through order process until delivery or installation. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: · Creatively offering options and solutions to assist customers and trades people in selecting the proper products and services to meet their project needs · Quote in- stock products, special orders, and custom orders · Writing and tracking sales orders and custom orders · Computer entry (QuickBooks) of daily sales · Adhering to store opening/closing procedures · Answering the phone · Scheduling and maintenance of calendar for in-home appointments for our Outside Sales Associate · Maintain current knowledge and proficiency of all products and services offered including but not limited to: \\- Custom window treatments and soft home furnishings \\- Fabrics/trims/pillow forms \\- Blinds/shades/shutters \\- Custom furniture and re-upholstery \\- Wallpaper \\- Rugs QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: The ideal candidate for the in-store sales associate has a basic knowledge of Interior Design, and a genuine interest in partnering with experienced designers to create excellent results for our clients. In this role, you must possess good time management skills and ability to multi-task, great math skills are also a plus. · Ability to be able to lift, bend, squat up to 50 lbs · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills · Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
