Industrial Design assistant

This role focuses on Industrial Design Prototyping, research, sourcing mechanical components. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in engineering, or is studying engineering, and has some hands-on familiarity with CAD and slicer software. Responsibilities in these area: • Conduct research for operational or business needs, IOW, assistant functions • Operate 3D printers and apply slicer software to support prototyping tasks at our on-site facility near the Brown Forman Campus • Compare pricing, availability, and lead times from vendors • Assist with sourcing parts and preparing purchase orders, research suppliers for mechanical components and fabrication materials • Track materials and purchases across multiple projects • Organize invoices, bills, and project documentation This is a flexible part-time role averaging about 10 hours per week. The majority of work is performed remotely on a flexible schedule.
