**Overview:** Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a part-time Instructor, Interior Design to join our team of passionate educators. As an Instructor, you will plan, develop, and revise instructional programs to teach classroom and laboratory courses in interior design. This is a unique opportunity to share your expertise and make a difference in the lives of our students. **Responsibilities:** • Plan, develop, and revise a program of instruction to teach classroom and laboratory courses in interior design • Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities • Manage the classroom/laboratory, develop curriculum, and assess student performance • Collaborate with the advisory committee, attend departmental and institutional meetings, and promote the education/training program • Maintain certification, continue professional development, and stay current in the field • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field • Three years of full-time or equivalent (6000 hours) experience as an Interior Designer • At least one year of work experience within the last five years, or two years of teaching Interior Design course work at the post-secondary level within the last five years • Proficiency in Autocad and Sketchup; knowledge of Revit and Illustrator is desired but not necessary • Ability to meet one of the following requirements: at least one (1) year of work experience must have occurred within the last five (5) years, or two (2) years of teaching Interior Design course work at the post-secondary level within the last five years • *Benefits:** • Starting hourly wage of $40 per course hour of teaching • Additional $70 per hour for prep time and office hours • Opportunities for professional development and continuing education • Diverse and inclusive work environment • Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and retirement plan • Opportunities for advancement and growth within the college • A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a focus on eliminating equity gaps in higher education
