Interior Architect Designer

Perform the duties of an interior architect to plan, design, and furnish interiors of high-end residential and commercial construction projects using knowledge of architectural design, interior design, spatial design, architectural plans and elevations, lighting design, graphic design, and material use and sourcing, and technology tools including Autodesk CAD, Autodesk 3dsMax, Autodesk Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Indesign. Duties include collecting design project data and information to establish project requirements, developing architectural drawings; designing and specifying furniture, finishes, and equipment for each interior design project; creating client presentations; communicating with vendors and suppliers to develop quotes and estimates for project components; communicating with clients for updates; creating custom furniture using 2D and 3D modeling; monitoring installation at client sites; supporting the senior staff in the planning and execution of residential and commercial projects; and overseeing small to medium size jobs, working in all phases of design projects and balancing creativity with attention to detail. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: (1) Bachelor’s degree with a major in interior architecture/design. (2) 6 months of work experience as an architectural designer or interior designer, using knowledge of architectural design, interior design, spatial design, architectural plans and elevations, lighting design, graphic design, and material use and sourcing, as well as technology tools including Autodesk CAD, Autodesk 3dsMax, Autodesk Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Indesign. Experience may have been gained prior to completion of the required degree.
